[FONT="]Folks, Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints on a hard fought victory in a great game. I thought I would send forward a glimpse of a piece of artwork that used to hang in the corporate offices of the Saints during the early years when it was founded and owned by John Mecom of Houston. Mr. Mecom donated a portions of the records of the Saints from the early years along with some artwork to the Southwest Collection. The attached image shows Jim Taylor (31) formerly of the World Champion Green Bay Packers who was one of the blue chip signees of the young Saints team. These and other materials can be found and accessed in the archives as part of the John Mecom Papers and we have the painting on display in the reception area of the SWC/SCL [/FONT] View attachment 13060
