Only concern is the youth/inexperience that will replace those 4 guys (Claiborne, Taylor, Brooks, Bryant).
Blackmon (Okie State) Jeffrey (USCe) Floyd (ND) Toon (WIS) Jones (NC) Sanu (Rutgers) McNutt (IOWA) Wright (Baylor) Fuller (A&M) Adams (ARK) Criner (AZ) Hilton (FIU) Broyles (OU) CBS Sports has Randle listed as 8th best WR prospect. This year has way too many quality receivers. Randle could see himself easily slide to 3rd round or later.
Mett may make Randle a heisman contender. Randle will boost his money earning potential by millions if he stays. I can see both mett and Randle both contending for post season awards next year. Randle could have over 1200 yards receiving and mett 3000yards passing if miles allows him to do his thing. With our runningbacks coming back, teams will have to stack the box to stop them. With mett passing to his stellar receivers for big time NFL numbers, teams will have to play extra defensive backs to stop them. You can't do both. What are they going to do? Lose to the tigers, that's what. You stop the run and mett passes for three hundred yards and five touchdowns. You stop the pass and lsu runs for three hundred yards. Whatca going to do?
Great post. One more little thing to be thankful for. LSU is not just the best team this year. LSU IS THE BEST PROGRAM IN THE NATION! GEAUX ENJOY!
Just like we have tm7 called the honeybadger, we will have Mett called the "pocket rocket". He will stand strong in the pocket and deliver the ball, under pressure on occasion, to our returning class of top talent receivers. He also has shown that he will tuck and run ala Matt maulk. Mett will be superman in purple and gold. An lsu superhero and a superstar before he leaves lsu to go on to a pro bowl career in the NFL.
My wife, 2 sons and I were in my truck going to my sister's house. My wife (bless her heart) said we should all name one thing we are most thankful for. I said LSU. She rolled her eyes.
Yep, just like we did this year with the loss of Nevis, PP7, Pep Livingston, Sheppard, Toliver, Ridley, Murphy, Jai Eugene, Barksdale...Don't forget we lost both Special teams players, Jasper and Helton, people thought we would have a major dropoff in the Special Teams. Wing and Alleman have done very well with the replacement. LSU has great depth, this year and the next. Just keep reloading.:tigereye:
Lsu has been on tv all year except one game. Lsu has been on top of the polls all year. The start of the season started with as much hype as possible with the ducks in Jerry world. We have had media exposure all year. Everytime someone spoke of the best teams and likely bcscg teams , lsu was mentioned. Then there was the game ofthe century exposure. Lsu winning that game was a major hit for bama and a great push for us in recruiting. Lsu will have some great signing days in the near future.
And Hilliard isn't even on the list and he will be quite a back when all is said and done. :geauxtige
