I am expecting Morris Claiborne to declare for the draft but not Reuben Randle. Updated based on Brockers and Randle leaving.
Rhetorical. But they are relegating him to the bench from what I hear. In all seriousness, this is going to be a really well seasoned group of very talented wide receivers, one of the best groups we have ever seen at LSU. Both Randle and Beckham are high potential future 1st round picks in the NFL. Jarvis Landry may be the absolute best of the entire group when all is said and done. Mettenberger will be fully supported by the WRs, talented and experienced O-line and the deepest rotation of running backs in the country. He has no choice but to succeed, and succeed he will. Randall will do a fine job as a change of pace QB that Les will undoubtedly mix in to the offense. If Dworczyk does indeed get his extra year, this O-line will potentially rival any in the history of LSU. Mettenberger will guide a team that for the next 2 years are going to be EXTREMELY hard to beat. A lot like another team I know, the 2011 Tigers.
Can you imagine all the other SEC coaches scratching their heads after looking at this depth chart, wondering "when the hell are they gonna get rid of some of these guys?"
The craziest thing is that 2012 will not be a senior laden team. Far from it. I only listed 10 seniors in the 2 deep. Oh the humanity.
they ... WILL pick at that ... and they ... will proclaim that as a weakness Until Mett gives 'em a $hight sandwich to eat ... Lucky for us, no Oregon in game 1 and Mett will lead the Tigers to Miami ... First back to back :crystal::crystal: in BCS History after we win the next two games and beat Bama in a rematch
That's a lot of talent walking out the door & We will feel it early in 2012 ... Glad for 4 scrimmages in first 4 games:hihi:
thanks IS that is awesome - great work I am going out to start slow smoke my turkey ! I knew we would be good in 2012 - now I know we will be great
The thing that excites me most about next season is that the Perrilloux QB fiasco and its aftermath will truly, finally, be over. We'll have a pro style QB with enormous potential who has had a year to learn our system (and should have a leg up in the competition for the starting spot next summer), and he'll have been taught by a guy who appears to know how to coach up QBs (as evidenced by JJ and JL's improvement this year). Do you really think Randle will come back for next year? Is he not projected high enough in the draft, do you think?
