there are other things as well. ie: windup and delivery and also the 10 second and 5 second rules http://www.ncaapublications.com/Uploads/PDF/2008_softball_rulesc5a1784f-7f7b-438b-a035-95708c4cf6f2.pdf
How is that different from what I said?? *EDIT* I think I get it now, they are both "Illegal pitches." I knew the pitcher had 20 seconds between pitches- the "10 second rule" for the batter is new this year (At least in HS it is) but I'm not familiar with the "Five second" stipulation. Don't understand from reading it either.
Sarcastic one -liners ? What's the matter Saban, do you think YOU are the only one that can have an opinion? I think that is is you who lurks just to make critical remarks about others. Take a Hike !
Once the pitcher receives or simulates receiving a signal from the catcher, the pitcher brings both hands together in full view of the umpire, they cannot stay together more than 5 seconds before going continueing the windup. (the 'windup' starts at the time the hands come together). The pitcher in other words can't stand there for 5 minutes with their hands together to stare the batter down before continuing with the windup and delivery. Both my girls played HS fastpitch, I kept stats and announced and had to *know* the rulebook... it's not *too* much different from NCAA.
He leaves and the women and mud wrestling leaves with him, be careful, you may have yourself in trouble! The boys won't appreciate that!:thumb:
