bhelm, we posted at the same time. i merged the threads and let the system decide whose was earlier in the minute. lol
Just think, if the cards fall right, we could be hosting a ranked Mississippi State team, and every team from the SEC west with the exception of Ole Miss would be ranked in the top 25. They received votes. well maybe not, i just realized MS ST plays Auburn this weekend, which is a must watch game at this point. So if Auburn wins MS ST definitely doesn't get in the top 25, and if MS ST beats Auburn, they may drop out of the top 25. Would have been cool to have 5 out of 6 in the top 25.
I'm good with that...I still think Bosie is overrated though. They did look impressive last night. But I'm not ready to buy their stock, even though the media seems to be making them their new USC.
Well at least we didn't fall, which could have easily happened. Florida should have fallen to at least #8.
So Ar-Kansas gets all this love and makes their move and they got Alabama threading water. PS Forgive me Tiger nation, if it's still too early for a little humor.
Boise will get media love because they are a great story. Controversy is where it's at. And what is better than a little, bitty school, playing good football, beating a quality team or two during the year, and getting "screwed by the man?" Makes great media. If Boise State would simply join a better conference or go independent, then all of this crap would die instantly for two reasons - first, they would play a respectable schedule and have a legitimate season to compare to other teams. Second, they would lose about 3 games and end up about where they actually should be - somewhere in the Top 15 or so in the last few years. The BCS isn't the problem here. Boise State's conference is the problem. Want to compete for the crystal football? Join a BCS conference or become an independent and play more than 1 or 2 decent teams during the year. It's really simple. But simple doesn't make good media.
