I said I thought the Tigers would play well against Alabama. They should be motivated for that game despite the evaporation of every goal they had going into the Ole Miss game when they still controlled their own destiny. I just don't think that they can beat Alabama even if they play as well as this particular team can play unless the Tide makes some mistakes or for some reason Nick Saban can't get them motivated.

Lose to Alabama and they will just be playing out the season the way they did last year. Beating Alabama is the only way they will be motivated to play well enough to beat aTm, although as bad as the Aggie D is LSU could still win in a shootout.

As much as I hate to admit it at this point in the season the best case scenario is 9-3 with an outside shot at the Sugar but more likely 8-4 and a Cotton Bowl date with either Oklahoma State or Texas Tech

I don't think you understood the question.

I understood it. If you assert that the Tigers will mail it in because our goals for the year are dashed, then Manziel's are, as well. They lost; we lost; no national championships, etc., etc.

I watched the game again last night. Ole Miss played damn good. their corners and safeties covered our receivers like a blanket half the time. The Rebel defense slowed down our running game. In the 1st half they shut us out no doubt. But! If not for the picks we would have 18 more points on the board. The Ole Miss defense held Bama to 3 fgs in the 1st half. They also held Bama to 2 tds in the 2nd half. Bams defense played very well and shut them out anyway. My point is this. Bamas offense only scored 23 pts. in 4 quarters. We scored 3 tds and a fg in 2 quarters. If not for the pics we would have had 51 pts. I don't know if Bamas secondaries are better than Ole Miss or not. But if they aren't then Zach will put up points on the gumps. I've been saying we are going to beat the gumps 38-24. I'm sticking with it. We have Furman this weekend. Bama in 2 1/2 weeks. That gives Chavis 3 weeks to get defense straightened back out and Stud to get the OL beefed up. CC will have Zach calmed down and back in his comfort zone again. Every qb has a bad game, college and pro. I think Saturday was that game. If the defense that played Florida shows up and the offense that played Georgia, TCU, Miss. State, and Auburn shows up. We will win.
I expect to see a hell of a game in BDS. and an upset. We are Bamas trap game.
I have a friend, Alan, that hog hunts with dogs. His chase dogs cornered a boar one day. He got cocky and sicked his pits on that boar. That boar tore their asses up. When it was over the hog won. 5 dogs had to get staples in the field to keep from bleeding out. 1 had to have his ass hauled to the vet to get its guts repacked and stomach stitched up. Nov 9 I expect to see that played out on a football field.
This season ain't over yet. We still have ass to kick. Yesterday's over. Tomorrows just begun.
    Geaux Tigers!

Possible 7-5. Arky has a great run offense, and we have no run defense. Hate to say it, but I can see CLM going all conservative, and not scoring enough points to beat the pigs. That's really going to suck for us LSU fans lving in AR.

That's like saying "if not for us losing, ... we would have won!"

    Just sayin'

Turnovers hurt us more than ole miss did is what I was getting at. Mistakes that can be fixed. I hope we don't go all conservative and shit. Mett needs to make better reads like he has been most of the season.
Some games you get big chunks of yards. Some games you need to concentrate on getting 11 ft a play.

Yes, turnovers are the great equalizer.

But more disappointing than the turnovers was the O-line losing the battle at the LOS against a lot of scrubs.

There was a lack of heart and determination by our O-line vs Ole Miss.

On Head to Head radio show they said basically the same thing. They said they could tell before kickoff which team was motivated and which one wasn't.

How can they tell something like this? I'm not jumping on you or anything, but I'm just curious what signs they picked up on that told them that the team wasn't motivated. I would be more impressed if they said this before the game instead of a couple days later after analyzing it. That said, it does seem like we just showed up and expected to win without earning it; especially the line on both sides of the ball.
