What do you guys think. I believe this is a 4 loss team. We dont play the right people on defense. Our secondary is young, but the upper classmen are the problem. at linebacker, Welter and Barrow, may be the worst ive ever seen at LSU. Folks can say im bitching, but deep down, what makes anyone think we beat Bama and stop A&M on defense. If Mett has game like Ole Miss against A&M we lose by 21.
And before you bitch me out, we lost to a team with 5 defensive starters out and 2 more went down during the game. let that sink in.
This team can beat Alabama and Texas A&M. We have to hope as fans that Mett got the bad game out of his system, and the offense can return to what made it successful the first six games. We have to hope that Chavis gets the defensive issues under control. We have to hope that Miles lights a fire under the team, if needed, and have them ready to play. I would have to think the result of this last game is a wake up call for the team. I use the word "hope" a lot here, as none of us have any control over this and we need to have faith in our team. Maybe believe is a better word than hope, as I think about it. My heart says we can go 10-2. My head says we split the two games (Alabama, A&M), and go 9-3. Still can get that 10th in the bowl game. How great would it be to beat Alabama and ruin their season.
I will go with 9-3. How do we square this performance with how we played against Florida? Or TCU? Or Auburn? Teams lay eggs sometimes. It happens. We always play Bama well. I still think we'll beat them. The third loss I'll chalk up to either A&M or a post-season loss.
If Auburn can beat A&M, we can. They cant stop the run. Now, kwitcher bitchin'. Bama imagines that they are invincible. That is their weakness. They will not win forever. Unverstand? They will not win forever.
We will beat Bama damnit! Zach had his shitty game as well as the rest of the team and coaches hopefully. Those guys have been embarrassed on national tv so they should be ready to embarrass someone else. Furman will be a confidence building game before the bye week. I personally am getting sick of these Gump fans texting and calling my ass after shitty performances. You'd think they watch LSU more than Bama. If I had some players numbers I would forward that shit to them.
I can not argue with anything you said here. With my purple and gold glasses on I say 9-3, but more as a realist....our defense is what it is.....8-4! Defense showed us one good game against florida....and as each week goes by florida's offense shows to be worst each week. So out of 8 games so far......defense has looked very bad in 7 of them......so they are what they have showed......Florida game was false optimisim.
