Please stop saying 80% It is false! 77.4% is what you guys should use. and Jennings is a mind blowing 7-14 vs the 87th ranked pass D.
How about 48% that's Jennings completion percentage. Also how about 60% That's Les Bowl game percentage. Let me point out all 4 losses were to inferior teams except Alabama but in that game we didn't cross the 50 until the 4th quarter. Again, not that it matters but I'm through with Les. Like Stacey said, he will have to win the West next year at least for me to even begin to contemplate the thought of him being the LSU coach in the future. You know Alleva pulls the trigger and shit cans him after a piss poor next season which it won't be because of like 5 rent a wins, I would gladly suffer through more years of mediocrity to get a great football coach, because that's really what LSU has become since the end of 2011 mediocre.
60% ain't great but it's not bad, either. Bowl games are designed to put your team against a team that had the same type of season. The last Tiger HC was 3/5 in bowl games....60%. I find it interesting that this is the game that put you over the top. The offense gained 400+ yards, Fournette ran one back, and LSU ran a successful fake FG for a TD that regrettably did not end up on the scoreboard. This loss is on the D, which gave up a ton of yards, tackled poorly, and did not force a turnover.....along with that unit's coach, who may or may not have one foot out the door.
The offense minus Leonard Fournette and one pass my grandmother could hit to Diarse and a few jet sweeps by Dural was absolutely pathetic. We are still completely one dimensional, and Navy and Georgia Tech have better passing skills than LSU does. This offense is an abomination. I agree the defense was to blame today for the loss because the O did enough to win, but if LSU had any type of passing attack, the D could have played like that and LSU still wins. This D has been known to lay an egg here or there, but overall it's been the only thing that's kept LSU from being a crappy team. Plus I didn't smoke today.
We get South Carolina and Florida next season. There is a chance LSU doesn't win 1 SEC game next season.
