Actually only on an SEC board will you find a bunch of homers saying their top 6 in the conference can beat other conferences top teams. That opinion is one that appears uninformed, homerish, and flat out wrong. The respect the SEC but I believe it really overated. The fans in the SEC think because they fill up stadiums with 80k+ throughout, it must mean they are all great teams "on the field" -- the on-field product is really no better than the Big 12 or Pac 10... granted, the fan support is "by far" the best in the nation though.

I used to live in Nashville, thus I'm used to the ridiuclous SEC arrogance. You all think no other conference even exists and "you all" sound like you don't know what you're talking about.

As for why the SEC has so many bowl eligible teams -- the SEC plays a JOKE of a non conference schedule and of course use the conferece schedule as an excuse. Most SEC teams don't even play a BCS team OOC. Mizzou, for example, played two in a neutral game vs Illinois (win) and at Ole Miss (win in a complete blowout / score made it look closer).

Trust me, Mizzou or any Big 12 fans have no inferiority complex when it comes to LSU or the SEC. The Big 12 will absolutely feel they can win against your overated team (particularly overated defense) at "your home". We are just bothered by the annoying SEC arrogance. It's impossible to talk about football with SEC fans. I went to Norman this season for the MU-OU game and they OU fans were telling me that you all were the rudest, most arrogant bunch of fans they've ever seen a few years back at your bowl game.

So far you have been greeted with respect here. But you keep smack talking.

Please quit bringing up the fact that your team beat Ole Miss. Who hasn't?? We have told you we think your team is good, and should beat Kansas...and possibly OU...take that as a compliment, and enjoy the forum. We hope you DO win out, and meet us in the BCSNCG...should we also win out.:thumb:

Also, check OUR schedule. Yes, we only played one real OOC game...against VT...a 48-7 victory...still pissed we let 'em score. But in conference, we play UF, AU, USCe, Kentucky, Bama, and a top ten team in the SECCG. I don't think you can discount OUR schedule.

Play nice and stick around...should be interesting in the next few weeks.

    The statistics state otherwise.

Also, you do realize that in the month of September alone, LSU played just as many ranked opponents as Mizzou has all year thus far?

Do you realize that in the month of October alone, LSU played as many ranked opponents as Mizzou will all year?

So, what were you saying about SOS again?

You played Ole Piss and beat them twice. That's impressive.

The lowest we've scored all season against those great SEC defenses is 28 points. 28.

Mizzou is a great team. We're better. I don't think many people deny that.

The SEC is 3-0 in BCS National Championship games with wins over the ACC, Big 12, and Big 10 in the last 9 years. We are hoping to make it 4 of the last 10 this year. No other conference can claim that. If they don't have an inferiority complex, shame on them.

    1. I only brought up Ole Miss once and that was only to mention that we played two BCS teams OOC. Obviously, I think Illinois is the much tougher OOC game. I realize beating Ole Miss is nothing special and never mentioned it.

    2. I want to somewhat apologize because nobody attacked me specifically and I got on here to talk a little smack. However, there was a bunch of SEC arrogance being posted and wanted you guys to settle down a bit!

    3. Just so you know, I've always said if I could go to one sporting event not involving Mizzou --- it would be an LSU night game.

    4. I'm not saying MU would beat LSU. But I can promise you this, they won't be afraid of LSU. Chase Daniel is a phenomenal QB and he has EXPLOSIVE talent around him, which includes freshmen Jeremy Maclin (electric).
