What are your guys thoughts on the attendance of the Tulane game? I think its terrible that only 70,000 managed to show up.

I don't think anything of it. The mostly meaningless non-conference games (except the home opener) usually have smaller crowds, especially the ones later in the season.

We have five straight home games. Some people cant make every game. If I had two miss one, it would have been Tulane.

This team has ZERO personality and no fire. They are immensely BORING to watch. It's very frustrating to watch a team that should be performing at a much higher level than they are.

That said, I don't know the reason why the attendance was so low.

I know that attending an LSU game is a lot of work these days. The parking sucks and the traffic leaving the game is handled by a team of retarded chimps.

70,000 is a lot of people. LSU made its reputation as a loud boisterous arena when it only seated 67,000. When we added all those new upper deck seats, they weren't all filled by rabid TigerFans. Many of them are fair-weather fans. It is like that in all big stadiums.

Moreover, many rabid tiger fans have four tickets and Pop may show up forevery single game, but Mom and Sis and Bud may only get motivated for the Big Ones.

Well, I would have loved to have been in the stadium. Even if LSU was playing itself (and losing.) I don't care. Some people NEVER get the chance to go to games. That's why when I get the chance, I savor it no matter who it is. :thumb:

A side note is that the LSU student section gets worse and worse and worse EVERY year. I also agree with the posters who say that LSU's play this season is boring. This is true, but it's still LSU. I haven't been to a game in two seasons due to my transplant. Believe me, I'd be there if I could!

The parking and traffic has been this way for years. It hasn't just started. Also, I dont think I could ever classify going to an LSU game as "work." But I do agree with you about the BORING aspect. I'm telling you, LSU should market the football team as a cure to insomnia.

Yeah, it's a bad number. I was trying to get rid of my ticket but couldn't. I called all my friends offering a free ticket and they all turned me down. That's Tulane for ya...
