From what I have read, it seems the 2000 Oklahoma Sooners have the toughest modern day schedule on way to an undefeated NC season, if you go by just ranked teams (as opposed to how you have it broken down above w/winning percentages determining SOS, which is a respectable way to look at it, too). Their schedule and results were as follows. But look at how many close games they had. We had 1. They had at a minimum 3 and maybe 4, before they played their NC game.
Oh, our schedule is more impressive, for sure. They did not get any tough opponents until game 5 or so. We began the season with the #3 ranked team!
