For starters, Jefferson threw 106 more passes in '09.. Close to the same in '08 with Lee in less play time. Outside of that, I got nothing.. Now the question is, were they not letting Jefferson throw as much because of his struggles early on? Or were we not calling pass plays for some other reason (just bad play selection)?
Only 6 passing TDs from QBs and we're 10-2 with 2 close losses to #1(who'll be a favorite in the NCG) and #8 both on the road. Had legitimate chance to win both games. Shows how great we could be with an average QB, not to mention a good or at least efficient QB. So, this stat could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. If we win our bowl game, I could most certainly look at the glass as "half full."
maybe in practice and in the spring, they decided to put an emphasis on the option game, and that's why he struggled so much in the passing game. You have to admit, JJ was 1 million times better in the option game than he has been in the past.
