It's time for LSU basketball to take care of business. Sitting at 16-9, the Tigers play 3 games in the next 7 days, all of which LSU will be favored. These games are crucial, and with a solid week will put LSU at 19-9 coming home for a revenge game against Florida. It's crunch time!
Successful navigation means maybe Jones does know the difference between a hole in the ground and other holes. When our offense goes limp I really wonder, but I've been wrong a time or two in life.
Yup. Now I'm thinking 18-12 is their likely regular season record. NIT unless they make a deep run in the SEC tourney.
Overall record, strength of schedule, wins over top 50 teams, out of conference games ... all of these have come into play the last decade or so and it seems the committee values each differently with each passing year. I've seen and heard a few speculate Simmons, and the TV draw he'd bring, puts LSU in a bit of a different place than other teams with similar records/seasons. I can't see much of an argument against that. What I find intriguing at this point is the RPI standings. In the past, the highest standing has been 67 (USC.) LSU will be in the 70's when it's updated. How much attention is the committee going to pay to the RPI this post-season?
I understand you're trying to be diplomatic on a rivals board but you don't have to do that. We know we're out and we know why.
