    No. 1 Georgia Tech (38-18-1) vs. No. 3 Southern Miss (37-24), 7 p.m.

    No. 1 Clemson (43-20) vs. No. 3 Oklahoma State (34-23), 7 p.m., CSS

    No. 1 East Carolina (45-18) vs. No. 2 South Carolina (40-22), 6 p.m.

    No. 1 Rice (42-16) vs. No. 2 Kansas State (43-17-1), 7 p.m.

    No. 1 Louisville (46-16) vs. No. 3 Vanderbilt (37-26), 7 p.m.

    No. 1 Mississippi (42-18) vs. No. 3 Western Kentucky (42-19), 8 p.m.

(damn texas came back and beat army to advance)

Texas, UNC, TCU, Cal St, Florida, Virginia, Arkansas, Florida St, Arizona St along with LSU all in.

3 sec teams pending but ole miss will likely be the only one to win today.

2 ACC teams in with 2 pending in Ga Tech and Clemson. Both likely win and are in.

late yesterday, 12 regions were set to make it to mondays rubber match. apparently 6 made comebacks.

look at all those #1 seeds.

UC-Irvine (UVA) and Oklahoma (arkansas) are the only #1 seeds to be eliminated. both by #2 seeds.

all the others who won are 1 seeds with the rest having a chance to advance today.

so its possible 14 of 16 #1 seeds advance with two #2 seeds rounding it off.

yes, but Rice's pitching staff is deeper considering they went a good portion of the season without two of their best pitchers.

In a three game series you worry a little less about depth and more about match ups. Give me the right handers.

    no #4 seeds are left.

personally, id prefer K St without hesitation.

rice wouldnt be near as rattled with wayne graham and that previous experience means a ton when it comes to super regionals.

This is what I would think in this case. Kansas State might be more intimidated "just making it this far." For Rice, that's nothing.
