Just bought 4 tix online, taking the family. We'll be in 328. Other than Fowles I know nothing about the team, what are our chances? :tigereye:
pretty good, but UConn is really, really, really good. when you say you know nothing about the team, I will take it literally. so I will give you a breakdown: Starters: #5 Erica White PG - Lightening fast, floor general #12 RaShonta LeBlance SG - solid defender, can hit the 3 if she is left alone #15 Quianna Chaney SF - 3 pt Queen. She is a scorer/slasher. Reminds me of Glen Rice #54 Ashley Thomas PF - Glue of the team. Guards the opponents best interior defender to protect Sylvia Fowles from Foul trouble. Hits 16 footers to keep the double-teams off Syl #34 Sylvia Fowles C- (you know her) #23 Allison Hightower SG - 6th man or "woman" for LSU. Is a shooting specialist. She is going to be special.
My parents have season tickets and they LOVE going to the games have for about 6 years now! They will be there tomorrow night and I think it might be on tv also so that makes me happy! Have fun I think y'all will!
:thumb: You are a good man! Thanks! Mom told me she thought that it would be on espn 2 but wasn't sure and I hadn't looked it up yet!
this really is a special bunch of young ladies. the day before a big game, you'd expect they would be on edge, but today after practice they hosted a pizza party for the local Biddy players ages 5-13 and played horse with them, etc...
My parents agree with you. Since they have been season ticket holders for so long and go to almost all the home games they have gotten a lot of chances to meet the girls and they say the team is top notch class in every way! My parents friends made fun of them for years and now every one of them have season tickets also and they all sit next to each other!
The Hartford Courant had a nice article about the lady Tigers this morning with most of it about Bob Starkey. LSU's Starkey where he belongs
UConn might view this as a payback game since LSU women whooped that ass last year in the regional final 73-50. It should be a dandy. LSU is so damn tough at home. We haven't loss all year long. I think in the last 60 or so they have only lost either once or twice.
Yea, Fowles is the only name I recognize. My daughter turns 13 today, she loves basketball. I told her about the game and she wants to go for her birthday. Sadly, it would take a matchup with a #1 team before I would go. :tigereye:
