Yeah, I think he just tried to convince America that 1 loss Stanford should be in the CG no matter what happens from here on out.
Baylor's recruiting rankings: 2013: 31st 2012: 45th 2011: 46th 2010: 39th 2009: 55th That would equate to about the 13th best recruiting class in the SEC out of the current 14 teams.
Baylor should more than cut the gap in half between them and Ohio State in the BCS. Stanford should still be just ahead of them.
The Stanford loss to Utah is going to weigh them down. But they are still looking Roses at least, so it won't weigh them down in terms of a BCS Bowl bid, assuming they win out.
Which would mean that they actually coach and develope their players at Baylor. They're doing more with less, per se'.
If speaking of Baylor, Briles brings in the players that he can mold to best fit his scheme after Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and LSU raid the cupboard. Those other schools get the best recruits in the country who end up playing on Sundays. The fact that he can get what he gets on Saturdays out of the players the big boys didnt want is pretty admirable. That's not to say that if he were at one of the big boy schools that he couldnt bring in NFL calibre players and have more success.
