Same ones, probably. Tonight was fugly. Coaching (scheme) was not the problem. Playcalling was not the problem. OL actually played very well, and if you rewatch the game and look at the stats, you might notice that Ridley was on his way to 100 yards rushing, Shep had 60, and JJ had plenty of time to throw the football - I don't think he was sacked, although he should've taken at least one. I know folks - for their own reasons - just really hate our coaches. But this game's ugliness falls on the shoulders of player execution - at the wrong times (for LSU), at the right times (for UNC's QBs and receivers). The DBs and OLBs showed their youth, and a 5th year senior QB took advantage of them.
I personally am frustrated with the apparent lack of discipline on this team since Miles took control. Additionally the apparent lack of tackling ability. The whole thing is frustrating to watch.
You have a better chance of being right than I do. :hihi: 120 or so come in second, only one wins it... Just my perspective. I think we're going to see some very good things this year, and some amazing things next year. With the same coaches. And if you think I'm a Miles lover, I'm not. I'm agnostic - like his recruiting/character, don't like clock mgmt/qb development so far/GC/stupid DC crap in 2008. I just don't see disaster around every corner. If that UNC team had actually been UAB or ULM or whoever beat Ole Miss, then I'd be considering a post about coaching changes.
I loved how Brandon Taylor gets up and is talking SMACK after the UNC player missed the ball and then they VERY NEXT PLAY he gets burned for the TD in the corner....thats all Miles theory of how to treat players... When the UNC QB clearly was hit out of bounds what did Miles do...pat the player on the helmet and then looked like he tried to give him a kiss on the face mask. Miles is a JOKE OF A COACH...and the ONLY REASON he is still the coach at LSU is because Pitt beat West Virgina
So, you'd rather take away one of our only three national titles because Miles wouldn't have stayed here? I wouldn't.
Or because Dixon got hurt and Oregon dropped 2 straight, either way take your pick. And to think Crowton got a pay raise last season.
Absolutely correct, I almost lost it when I saw that pat on the helmet. I'd love to go to whatever planet Miles stays on and beat some sense into him.
6-6 That would SUCK but I can completely see it happening. It could happen this year. Tiger fans must do whatever it takes to get rid of Miles and Crowton. He's running our beloved LSU football program into the ground. We must stop both he and Crowton before it's to late.
We have too many weapons and can go undefeated if we stop the turnovers, the penalties and actually play aggressively... but the 2nd half looked like crowton left early to go drinking. We got torched by an ACCs 2nd string team. Our defense got torched by a back up QB without any of his starting skill guys... what happens when we go to Bama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn... McElroy, Masoli, Mallet and Newton will kill us... minus Miss St. we could go winless in the west if we don't fix things soon.
The guy is a 4 year starter at UNC and had an EXCELLENT game. Part of it was poor play calling, part of it was mistakes by players in the secondary, but also part of it was his accurate passing and quick decision making. Stop making it sound like he was some scrub they found at Dragon Con in a UNC uniform.
