Uhhh, Jordan Jefferson was not an inexprerienced first year QB this season. I guess you missed that. Stoops won the Big 12 and lost to WV in the Fiesta Bowl in Sam Bradford's freshman year. So what double standard are you referring to???
If he is such a good coach then he would have realized last season that Lee was not the answer and needed to be sat down and then Jefferson would have had more games under his belt going into spring and the coaches would have had a better idea of his abilities and MAYBE just maybe have been smart enough to create an offense AROUND Jefferson and his abilites instead of just creating a board full of circle holes and then trying to shove a square peg in to them!
Anyone that thinks these comments stem from the game yesterday have NO CLUE what is involved with the game of football. In the grand scheme of things yesterdays lose was nothing, just another notch on the belt of mediocrity. The problem is simply this the team that we all watched barely win the Washington game..the first game of the season...was the same team that played yesterday! There has been NO during the season progression. The Line still cant pass block! The qb still holds on to the ball to long! The coaches cant get plays into the huddle fast enough! The WRs still dropping EASY balls! The running backs not being able to find the holes! And the defense NOT getting pressure on the QB! All of these problems we talked about after the Washington game and here we are 13 games later still talking about the same problems! These with maybe the exception of the WRs dropping passes are all coaching things that should be address week to week, game to game and it appears that nothing was done.
Well Miles fixed the "not enough men on the LOS penalty"! Haven't seen that in a while! There is hope!!!:lol::lol:
You mean when the quality of competition increased? The team had a more difficult time winning games than against lower competition? You don't say?
Well, I do think there are some legitimate observations and concerns stated here. CLM is definitely slower to make change than my liking, but I think he is kind of like the turtle to the hare. He seems to prefer to watch and wait before making any significant changes, but sometimes it becomes an uphill battle. I still think he is a good coach, just needs the right coordinators on BOTH sides of the ball.
Good observation. That said, and considering Miles did what had to be done on the defensive side at the end of last season, hopefully we see the same on the offensive side this time around. :geauxtige
First off no one has said we deserve or feel entitled to NCs or SECCs annually, but if you call going 34-4 from "05-07" then to 17-9 from "08-09", successful then you're nuts. With the talent we have we should win 10 games a season and not struggle to score 17 points. When LSU gives raises to coaches who have shown no tendencies to getting better at their jobs, ie.: inability to coach up our athletes inability to keep LSU a strong 4th qtr team inability to keep top LA talent in state instead of losing them to rivals inability to move the football consistently Then raise ticket prices on us "fans" in order to cover those raises, along with giving num nut zombies like GC large buyout so we're stuck with their BS pretending, all while still purchasing LSU merchandise helping keep LSU #7 in the nation in money earned... then yes, I think LSU fans have earned the right to be critical of the coaching staff after seeing the final product out on the field the last 2 seasons. Unlike the welfare recipient you site above... most of us LSU fans have earned the right, considering LSU is the state flagship univeristy that represents Louisiana in college football. Have a great day. :thumb:
so anyone that aspires to want their team to live up to their potential and be the best are welfare queens? entitlement? I never got anything other than bragging rights out of that Crystal trophy, to hear you talk we all got some sort of payment. I beg to differ, it actually made ALL of LSU merchandise go UP, So I spent more money not less. your comparison is bad very bad.. Also, per chance you missed the fact that talent still needs coaching? maybe LSU's talent doesnt go very high in the draft do to a lack of coaching and another school's players go higher with less talent but better development. did this thought occur to you? proably not. I guess thats too far fetched though. You're right.
