Being a fan of LSU does not require blind devotion and an unwillingness to criticize shortcomings. And I wonder, if you aren't a fan of TigerForums (see multiple critical posts in this thread), why do you keep coming back? Such high hopes for next season. Ouch. Our talented WRs have been a disappointment taken as a whole for a while. I also don't remember Lafell and Black being huge recruiting gambles. Brady? I remember this one year we played UAB post-season. We lost in embarassing fashion. And this isn't the single instance of that type of performance. I also remember quite a few people being impressed with TJs ability to find talent on the bench (overlooked or underutilized by Brady) in his first season here.

It really only works for those who really are fans of other schools. Not for every poster. I don't have any excuses or encouragement right now, so I'm keeping quiet about the whole Miles should be fired. I'm not liking Crowton at all right now, but I'm not sure changing a whole system again is the key.
Miles has had to play with inexperienced first year QBs in the strongest conference in the country for 2 years. How did Carroll and Stoops do with inexperienced QBs? USC appears to be on the decline since winning MNC? Should Carroll be fired? Why don't you Miles' bashers explain your double standard?
I think the problem with LSU fans is that most have a sense of entitlement and share the mindset of welfare queens. Just as the government must provide food, money and shelter for the welfare recipient simply because they exist, LSU must provide wins in any game that LSU ever plays in because LSU fans "deserve" the best. In contrast to the welfare recipient who has done little to earn the welfare money provided by the government, what exactly have LSU fans done to "deserve" conference championships and national championships annually? Some will argue that LSU fans deserve this because they support the team. Is constantly complaning during winning seasons really supporting your team? If Penn State has more players drafted in the NFL draft, will any of of the doom and gloomers on this board come back and admit they were wrong about Penn State having any level of talent? Of course they won't because in their minds they can never be wrong. They have every answer to every problem. This is not only limted to LSU, but they are all economic, foriegn policy, legal, and social experts also. Unfortunately, they are also lazy and will never get off their a$$ and actually put any effort into making their society and community a better place. All they have is their mouth and their need to be the loudest person in the room. They don't engage in conversation, their only strategy is to continually shout down those that disagree with their point of view. Evidence and reasoning always takes a back seat to their ego and point of view because they are always right. They also lie. They claim or imply that they would be happpier with LSU winning fewer games if the team was "better coached" and players were "developed" better and the team was "more competative". Does anyone that says this really believe it or will they be the loudest complainers if they actually got exactly what they wished for?

Yeah, good post Herb, regarding the attitude of LSU "fans" here lately on the board. You know, LSU lost 19-17 against a perennial good team ranked a slot behind them in sloppy conditions. Geez, people act like we got blown away. I kept telling the guy I was watching the game with, that the Tigers were coming back - and, JJ stepped it up, WRs finally started catching the ball, and we ended up losing a close one. If the DBs actually catch a few INTs, we win that game easily, and this board doesn't light up with a bunch of cry babys. I want LSU to win, too, and win impressively, etc, but I am happy with their effort yesterday, happy with our HC, and the direction of the program. Just need to get a new OC, IMO, that's clear. CLM should perhaps make obvious changes like that a little quicker, but overall he is a very good leader of a big program.
I fixed it for you. I know this is an LSU board and we are talking about LSU but people are constantly wrong in this context. You can pick fans from any sport for any team on any board and come up with the same analogy. You forgot about actors and politicians who are experts on everything also. Have a nice day!
