Blame Putin all you want. It does us no good to take him out via missiles. What are you advocating here?
Our actions weren't to stop the war or prevent Assad from using his Air Force. It was punishment and warning about the use of chemical weapons no more. No one was told anything else and anyone who expects it to stop anything else is either dreaming or trying to paint a false picture.
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/04/...e-share&referer=https://t.co/aawR3HfAIS?amp=1 This is a pretty good commentary on both Obama's inaction and either willful blindness or lies and what effect Trump's bombing may have. It sums it up by saying Assad now knows he can keep on his mass killings as long as he doesn't use chemical weapons. Again the poor decisions by the Obama administration in the beginning of the war took away any influence we might have had. By his inaction he owns some of the responsibility for 500,000 deaths. To lay responsibility on Trump for 60 days in power is either blinded by partisan hate red or truly stupid.
Baloney. Assad used sarin in 2013 and Obama told him that he had crossed a line and warned him that our response would be commensurate with his further offenses. The result? Assad was deterred... he didn't use gas again until Trump indicated two weeks ago that the USA would let him get away with anything he wanted. This was on Trump, not Obama.
