the saban vs. miles series is tied 2-2 with each coach winning once at home and once on the other teams field. series should be 3-1 but we won't get into that argument. LSU is 3-2 vs. saban, which includes a 45-26 ass raping in shreveport of saban's michigan state spartans in 1995.

    let's do this

Wonder if he makes a pick 6 or runs a punt back will he be in the Heisman talks again?

I agree, you don't have the top D in the land without having some playmakers. Mark Barron, Upshaw are no slouches

bama does have playmakers on D, but no one has the Honey Badger, that one player who has single-handedly wreaked havoc in so many different ways on so many different teams. Dude has eclipsed the forced turnover record at LSU in about one full season. He's a wildcard. He'll get you in coverage, he'll pick you off, steal the ball from you, sack your QB, deflect the pass, whatever it takes. There's just no way to avoid him.

I got us winning by 4. And that would be another ATS blemish on Miles' record. I don't know a single LSU fan that would be upset about it.

Correct, I don't think Caddy understands the magnitude of playmaker that Mathieu is. Sure, Bama has many great defensive players, but I'm not talking about their stud MLB making 13 tackles tomorrow. I'm talking about a sack fumble of McCarron giving LSU a very short field that turns into 7 points in a game that is decided by 1 possession.

I've watched Saban too many times over the years to see how when faced with a great defense in a closely fought game, he cowers in his play calling and gets ultra conservative.

    I'm counting on that tomorrow.

If McCarron has 200 yards passing, I'll be shocked.

Honestly, why would Saban even consider a strategy that involved throwing the football for 2-hundy ... when his bread-and-butter is rushing the football and keeping the opposing offense on the bench?

You'd better pray that Miles is also "ultra-conservative" tomorrow ...... or you'll wind up crying in your beer before midnight.

Recognizing what Mathieu is isn't a challenge ..... it's recognizing what he is not that requires some objectivity ;)

Just because you don't agree with us doesn't mean you're being objective. He is the primary reason that we lead the nation in TO margin. Well, him and #12.
