I know. What a wonderful weekend of football. Thought these days were behind us though the Saints are bringing back memories of yesteryear this year.
I really hate blaming the refs for losses, but that was a bullshit fucking call against Graham at the end of regulation. The NFL strikes again.
I thought it was a pretty easy call. Sure, the CB flopped a bit, but when you see the hands on the body and the arms extend, the flag's coming out.
I think Graham pushed off a bit and the CB flopped. Problem is, he probably could have caught the ball without any of that.
I know, right? And what kind of ref throws a flag on a hail mary last play of the game? What Graham did is not anything any other receiver doesn't do 50 other times in the game. It wasn't blatant, it didn't have any impact on the play and never should have been called.
FWIW, still think the Saints end up 10-6. I hated that they lost to the 49ers, esp. how it went down, but I figured losses to 49ers and Ravens with a win against the Bengals in-between. Then, we finish the season w/5 in a row to finish the season strong. If they did that, we'd all feel a lot better about this moment in time. 10-6 with 4 (or 5?) of the 6 losses being games that we were leading w/2:00 left in the game. Pretty strong year overall, if that happens.
I say 9-7. I say we lose 2 of the 3 of @pitt, balt, @chicago. 1 other loss would put us at 8-8, though so I could see that just as easily. I think either wins the division. So there's that.
