1. Nike provides a lot of shoes for athletes. They want the athletes to be seen in Nikes. Remember how upset Nike got when Chis Jackson was on the cover of SI wearing Cons? They pay the AD a ton of money each year for the shoe contract. 2. Not all shoes are expensive. 3. When someone removes all the shoes in the house, they are taking flip flops, sandals, old ratty shoes you use for painting, your crabbing boots, etc. I bet most of us own more shoes than we imagine.
You also have to remember public school kids in Louisiana wear uniforms to school, so their affinity for shoes increases because that's their major fashion statement now. I have a teenager living with me who works part-time at a shoe store and plays basketball. Between the shoes she got through playing basketball, and the shoes she buys herself with her work money, I guarantee she has a whole lot more than 49 pairs of shoes. I'm certainly not implying that 49 pairs of shoes are a normal occurrence, but even if considered abnormal, there is an explanation for a youngster who's a product of Louisiana public schools and wore uniforms which I'm sure Jefferson did at Destrehan.
four pair. when they wear out I throw them away , noone would want them anyway two pair for work and one pair for play and one pair to go out with Anita
He's the starting quarterback for a Division 1 college football team. THAT'S where he's getting all of his shoes. He's not having to put out a whole lot of money for shoes. Everyone knows that these guys get all of their gear for free. I'm sure everyone on the team have a few pairs of extras laying around.
