I don't think our pitching staff is championship caliber, but our hitters have been wildly exceeding everybody's expectations. Probably won't last but it sure is fun right now!

Laird and Bregman each get a single in the 9th but that's all.

    LSU 2-11-0
    MSU 10-12-0

We had opportunities but just couldn't put it together. We walked eight Bulldogs and they made us pay.

it was definitely a great start. I think Glenn is better than what he showed Sunday, just a rough outing for him.

MSU is #11 for a reason. Extremely hard to sweep on the road.

Katz was named SEC Player of the Week

    • Katz led batted .462 (6-for-13) to lead LSU to three wins in four games last week, including an SEC series victory at No. 8 Mississippi State … Katz collected four home runs and eight RBI, and he posted a .588 on-base percentage … beginning on 3/10, Katz homered seven times in five games and became the first LSU player to homer in five straight games since 1998.
    • At MSU, Katz had three homers, five RBI and four runs scored. Launched a pair of two-run homers in Friday night’s win, including the game-winning blast in the top of the 10th inning.

Katz was also named the Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week

1B Mason Katz, Louisiana St.: Katz collected 4 home runs and 8 RBI over four games last week as he went 6-for-13. Recently he put together an amazing run starting on March 10 against Washington as he homered seven times in five games and became the first LSU player to homer in five straight games since Brad Cresse accomplished the feat in 1998.
