Howard played for 7 teams(The Jets twice), but made the practice or off season squads of a couple more.

I was talking with a cousin of Howard, Jarvis, Jason and Skyler, I asked him where they went to school, he said they all went to Donaldsonville. I told him Skyler went to Higgins.

Oh, the guy that played for 8 NFL teams....

LSU's Mettenberger also tore an ACL and the timing was certainly bad, happening in the last regular season game. I still think Zach has a chance to go in the bottom of round 1 or at worst the top of round 2.

The average recovery time for ACL surgery is 6 to 8 months. If his rehab goes well, Mettenberger may be able to at least throw and do the mental part of the scouting combine, but the important thing is how the rehab is coming along by draft time, which this year will be pushed back from April to May,. The change will will give him more time to work on rehab.

If the scouts see the two-year starter in Baton Rouge is coming along well and still throws the ball with his patented zip thanks to his great arm strength, he may not really drop in this draft. To be ready for an NFL training camp may be a problem, however, but if he can do some things on the field and learn the teams playbook, he may be able to play at some point next season.
