    1. The QB play is bad(no flame). You all wanted Jefferson gone, however the 1 thing Jefferson did was win. Mett is robotic, can't run and has made terrible decisions. I will not harp on the kid, however his play must improve immediately. ESPN was sooo brutal yesterday in their opinion of Mett.

    2. The WR Corps is average at best. Small, however they don't scare anyone. Corners are jamming them, playing man-to-man without fear, etc.

    3. The offensive play calling is very Jr. High. To be honest it freaking sucks. I don't have to mention this anymore as all of us agree that it is bad.

    1. This coaching staff hasn't ever developed a QB. JR was a freak but was never a smart passer. Flynn was a baller but still threw double digit picks.
    2. WR who can't catch has been a theme here for a long time. Even the 5 star talents have hands of stone until their senior years.
    3. LSU has ranked at the middle to the bottom of the SEC in sacks allowed each year Miles has been at LSU. When you average that out based on passes attempted, it becomes even more apparent that the OLine guru, Les Miles, cannot teach his linemen to block worth a shit.

LSU fans need to give up on seeing a brilliant passing attack, that's not Les Miles football. Our philosophy is run the football, short passes every now and then on first down, and pass on 3rd and long, unless its 3rd and extremely long. If we can't run, then we play to punt and flip the field position. Do this enough to give the offense a short field, and win with field goals and defense.

You are right, that is our MO...its not going to work this year I am afraid. You have to have a good O Line for that game strategy to have any success and we do not. Especially when they are stacking the box, daring us to throw to WR who cannot get separation from their defenders.

That philosophy won us 13 games last year. What else can you do when you don't have a passing threat than go to the bread and butter offense that we can run effectively.

Agreed, 100%. Let's hope we can maintain this with our banged-up OL...

This is all true. A big reason for years of drops is no semblance of a passing game. There
can be no chemistry when you pass only when forced to. You should have a want to pass the ball and develop a rhythm.

But we fail due to a stubborn hc. And no running back is allowed to establish a rhythm either. Hilliard needs to be able to wear down a defense as opposed to a play here and there.
And our offensive ineptitude has caught up with us in recruiting it seems. We are not overly talented at wide receiver despite the local hype. Same is obvious for spiccoli at qb. But les doesn't do him any favors in developing him either. He hides him until it's too late. Same old pathetic playing not to lose. He's never proactive until it's too late after a loss or two or three. So annoying but he is who I thought he was. Stubborn beyond belief.

It worked really well last year. Too many things going wrong this season for it to win us 13 games. 1 like them or not Jefferson and Lee last season didn't turn the ball over. Combined they had 6 turnovers all of last year. Mettenberger already has 6. Injuries have killed our offensive line, we can't protect, and we can't run block like we did last season, which is evident. Special teams are not playing like they played last year. Brad Wing is average this year, and Alleman has missed some field goals, not to mention our coverage isn't as good, and our return game isn't near as good.

Best thing Les can do this year is start searching for a new offensive coodinator.

Florida's Offensive Coordinator was very impressive, especiallly in the second half. The gators were very prepared, and changed it up well against one of the best defenses in the country.

We are great about making adjustments on defense when we need to in the second half. Offensively we are dead if we can not run the ball. Not being able to change will be our demise.

Brilliant passing attack? Id be thrilled with a below average passing attack. Right now we have no passing attack at all.
