I always played 2nd base. I once drilled a runner (coming from 1st to 2nd) right in the cheek when turning a double play. The cracking sound of his cheek bone was quite disturbing. For a WHILE after that, I sailed almost everything high. I now slide farther towards 3rd on a double play move, to help keep the runner out of my line of sight.
I think he's referring to Alomar, who did the reverse Shawon Dunston flying past second on a double play. Or he's mocking your fielding prowess by comparing you to one of the greats. Either way, nice job Roberto.
I thought maybe he was bringing up the guy that broke Jorge's nose a while back. Hell, mock away, I never said I was any good, I didn't even make my High School team.:hihi:
 Nootch, you can also touch the back of the bag and push off, away, towards the backside after the catch........as you get older, you may find this method more helpful as it requires less footwork. You're not fooling us either, "To help keep the runner out of my line of sight".........you're keeping him from takin your azz out of the play on the slide.
Nah, that's not much of a problem in our softball league. The fields are in sucj chit condition, that almost no one slides, they just kinda slow down and duck.
