True, but at some point we will break through @ Auburn. We won't lose there forever. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I like to think with a healthy Dorsey, Alexander, Doucet, and Francois eligible, 14-0 would have been the record. Hope the injuries are at a minimum this year.
I agree - could've gone either way. But that's the point. It's the SEC and there's a bit of luck involved whenever the big boys meet.
How many NC's did Chollie Mac win? How many 10 win seasons? 11 win seasons?? No offense to Coach McClendon...I grew up a Tiger's fan in the '70s. But let's face it...this is a different program, and although there will be some transition years...we should expect to have a shot at a 10 win season pretty much every year in the near term.
Part of Cholly's problem was that in a lot of those years the 3 or 4 games we lost were to the only good teams we played that season. We didn't have the western division schedule like we do now and didn't play 8 SEC games each year. Anyway, we won't win 9 or more games each year, but I feel like we'll win at least 9 most years and more often than not at least 10. But it will be harder in the future than it has been as I honestly see every team in the west becoming a pretty decent program in the near future, which we've never really had before. Along with 3 programs in the west being very good darn near every year, which we've never had before either.
