I don't think we're above having a 9-3 season every once in a while. However, I think we're past the days of having them every other year.
I like the way you think, and I hope your right, but I'm thinking this could be one of those 9-3 years. Mostly depending on the QB's and DB's
lets not go there. but i do think there are gonna be 9-3 seasons every here and there. not every season, but it is going to happen. no matter how good a season looks going into it, sometimes things happen that are unexpected that can change everything. such as losing players for one reason or another. when those 9-3 seasons do come along, it is not gonna be the end of the world. and those 9-3 seasons are gonna be scattered amongst much better seasons including ones with seccg wins and a spot in the ncg. edit: forgot to add, that this could be one of those 9-3 years, imo. if it is, it is. that doesnt mean the ride is over.
A few things go differently last year, and LSU easily could've had a 7-5 season. Bama, Florida and Auburn games were all up for grabs at various points. It's the SEC. 9-3 is a good year.
Amazing isn't it? One way to look at it: we were a few plays from 14-0. on the other hand, we were a few plays away from being 7-5 or 8-4. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
For sure. It may be a while before there's a season as good as 2007. Damn Strong Football Team!!! :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I realize what you're saying about '10 and '12 from the talent perspective, but don't forget that odd years have been significantly more productive for us, due to the favorable home schedules. See #5 below: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/40730-lsu-football-08-no-repeat-no-surrender
