lol, you are exactly right...but if you flip it a million times it is going to be pretty close to 500,000 a piece.

Just making a statement to luvdimtigers and every other tiger fan who think we have used up our share of close ones in the win column.IF and i repeat IF they do balance out we still have some catching up to do.

If we are talking about breaks balancing out ,in 98 and 99 every single close game went against us.Josh Booty 2 point conversion batted away against georgia, josh booty trying to run it in on goal line against Alabama,Miss St running backs knee down on 4th down on goal line all in 99 0-3 ...and it was worse in 98...0-5 in close ones 2 score lead against bama at home and we give it away with that tipped touchdown pass after an onside kick recovery by bama is just one of the close ones that come to mind...i feel sick just thinking about those years...

Yes but our recruiting is now entering another stratosphere.

Sitting on our hands? I think not. In fact, we're reaching for the goddamn sky.

Russell Shepard will be a beast and lead the Tigers to great things.

    That's all I'm saying......

I'm still amazed at how many people are still stuck in the Saban days of 9-3 and 8-4 seasons. Good grief, dem days are long ass gone.

You have moved into the top 5 of my personal "favorite posters". FWIW, you've been in the top 10 for a while, but posts like this allow you to jump others that haven't made BAD posts...just haven't made posts this good lately.

I like it, but here's my question to the group:

If we end up 10-3, with our 10th win coming in the Cotton or Capital One, would 2008/2009 be regarded as a "good year" for us? In our minds?

For me...yes. Especially if we blow out whoever we're playing in the Cotton Bowl...as :milesmic: is apt to do in bowl games.

Absolutely. And particularly if all three of those losses are to SEC teams, two on the road. A little less so if one of them is to an OOC foe at home...

While we're (somewhat) talking about Shepard, I have a question:

Does anybody know if he can pass? I've found a vid on YouTube where he runs his ASS off (good for a spread attack), but how is his passing game? Anybody have any info?

That may affect how we do in the next 3-5 years, in my mind.

See the recruiting board for more info on Shepard, but yes - he can pass. And if he can't, he'll be a hell of a WR & we've got another good QB in this class, Chris Garrett.
