Possible If no Drew or Jernigan LSU might put the pressure on Mickey Johnson and if we dont I think he ends up at Arky. TK Fleming and Chuck Hunter are both in the picture still but maybe in the greyshirt category. Also not counting out the possibility of CJ Johnson. I have heard that TK might get on a track scholarship next year and then could join the team the following year on a football scholarship.
I keep hearing that Fordham will count against our numbers this class so may only be down to one more scholarship prospect. I think it will be Rasco. If other want to jump on board like Jernigan, Drew, or CJ Johnson I think we make it work. I think Mickey Johnson could be left out. Also have greyshirt options and TK Fleming possibly coming in on a track scholarship his 1st year.
Would Commitment timetables have any affect on who we take? I mean wouldn't we take any of those three you mentioned & take the first one who committed?
If Drew, Rasco, Johnson, and Jernigan all wanted to commit to LSU we would take them all and make the numbers work. Not going to happen that way but any of them could commit at anytime and we would take them.
Yeah, Ronald Martin, Quinten Thomas, Paul Turner, Jalen Collins, etc. can all greyshirt, get TOPS schollys, and/or attend another school if all those dudes commit (and I love me some Paul Turner). We can free up a scholarship somewhere else for Fordham, too. That's a group that will see (possibly significant) action as soon as next season.
I see us signing 26 and doing the greyshirt thing and whatever else it takes. We won't sign just 23 unless the commits don't come our way.
