I despise Chinese shit, direct competition of the products I sell. They are pieces of shit but sell for an average of 3 to 5k less than our line.
When these companies moved to the 3rd world the savings weren't passed on to the US consumer. Instead it was gobbled up by the companies. When it costs as much to make things in Mexico as it does here it will be made here. Tariffs help level the playing field. Otherwise companies here have absolutely no chance of competing. The Chinese, Mexican and other 3rd world workers will never make the pay that American workers do. If the US doesn't level the playing field somehow jobs will continue to leave the country. But that's all right, everyone here can clean toilets and flip burgers for minimum wage. As long as CEO's are able to make 10mil a year we should all be happy. Trickle down economics just means I'm going to piss on you and you should be happy as it trickles down your back. It's time for politicians to start representing the whole country and not just the rich and the too lazy to work.
At the tax added prices Americans would still buy the cheaper ones from China. Without Chinese goods Walmart would go out of business
