2nd half offensive effort against Alabama was a fluke

I wasn't upset after the game about the offense, because it is what it is at this point. However, the idea that an offensive coordinator with an offense in the bottom 25% for the 2nd straight year shouldn't be replaced because we are 9-1 is just ridiculous. Why can't we replace a weak link and move forward?

I also think Crowton is a weak link but how much do you want to mess with success? You know, it IS possible that the problem is personnel and not coaching.

It's definitely a possibility. My point was if he is the problem, then fix it. I just don't agree that we can't replace a weak link, just because the overall success is high.

I dont think it has anything to do with people not wanting to talk about he negative. It is more like we all know and HAVE known that our O is inconsistent and BAD.... Whats new?

Starting a thread by saying that the Bama game was a fluke, is well, just trying to stir the pot I guess.

I, however, do not consider it a fluke for the very reason that our PLAYERS, COACHES and TEAM find ways to win the game and because of that, LSU will be in every game. Even with this O.

In all, threads like this are just about the same as "Fire Les Miles threads".

yes, the O is unacceptable, but its not like it is intentional...

Now THIS I agree with. Crowton is not the reason at all for this team's overall success thus far. I agree that one half of solid offensive production does not give Crowton a pass. I'm very happy that LSU is in the position it is in with 2 games to go, but you're right...there's no reason to be satisfied with Crowton's overall body of work since he's been here.

My only thing is this. As others have stated, there's just too many positives to dwell on the only negative...in the name of "discussion"...at halftime. This is a Wednesday thread at best, and could still be presented tons differently/better.

I absolutely agree 100% with your post that the offense is what it is and I don't like it either; and I 100% agree we should replace weak links and improve and move on. If the reason the offense is a bottom quarter offense is the offensive coordinator then I agree we should make a move. But I'm willing to admit that there may be things I don't know. After the last couple of games I've come to believe the dual QB system is best for us with JJ and JL as our QBs. A month ago I was wanting all JL all of the time. But Jefferson has changed my mind since Auburn.

I have my opinions and I disagree with him but I do trust that Les will make and implement the best decision possible (or close to the best decision possible) for the good of the team.

add me to the dislike crow list and who knows our offense has glaring weaknesses. but to overlook that a big reason for lack of yards/stat was largely due to great field position is insane. that is not a reason to slam the offense.

now if you will excuse me, i just spent almost 10.5 hours on the road and need to collapse.

    edit to add...
i also get pissed off when the good that this team does is discounted. to shrug off a good win against bama as a "fluke" is disrespectful of the young men that wear the purple and gold. (imo)

I've wanted Crowton gone for two years now. But I personally don't care how our offense looks when we shut out the other team.

Here's my point. At 10 games into the season we all know what the O is about, we all know Crowton sucks. Before the season it was it this season is anything like last season some were saying this team would go 7-5/8-4 and finish 4th in the SEC w and is a 2nd tier team. After the UNC game it was Miles/Crowton need to go and this team won't beat the likes of WVU,UF, BAMA OM, ARK, and AU. As we progressed thru the season it was Miles needs to go and Crowton and this team won't beat so and so and has fallen to an also ran and Miles has lost the team. Well here we sit 9-1, better record than even the sunshine pumpers thought we'd have and some are still claim and complaining if they play like this they won't beat OM and Ark, well they've proven everybody wrong time and time again, expect Miles, Crowton and the Tigers to contunue to prove you wrong. If after watching this team for 10 games your still so concerned that you feel the need to still complain about the same crap that has been all season, please don't try to enjoy the next 2 wins and please don't get excited when we make it to a BCS Bowl and win it, finally please don't enjoy and celebrate our final record of 12-1 and top 5 ranking.I will be celebrating the great season anxiously awaiting to see what great offseason changes Miles makes and excited to see the top 5 recruiting class Miles pulls in. GEAUX Miles GEAUX Tigers!!!!!!
