It is what it is. How's that for an intelligent comment. I think discussion and disagreement is healthy in any relationship, can you tell I'm married. Most of the time I dont see "intelligent discussion". I see moaning and complaining. Fire this one fire that one he sucks things wont get better till she's gone....... obviously some feel things are not getting done by the coaching staff to make our QB's and offense better. What EXACTLY. Do they not practice correctly, wrong technique, too short of a practice, sitting around eating corndogs? Discussion is not just complaining. I think constructive criticism is a term I've heard before. And b!tching is what alot of this is, dont get the two confused. It is what it is.

I agree. Yes, the wording was a bit strong and condescending.

I do get his point however and there are plenty out there who just look the other way and act like there is absolutely nothing wrong with the team. To each their own.

I too like to see balance and I think 75 percent of the fans are balanced. But the fringe is out there like you said, going both ways.

Here's where you miss the boat. None of us are blind or stupid. It's painfully obvious that this team has offensive shortcomings. Just because we choose not to rant about it, in light of the success the team is having, doesn't make us sunshine pumpers. It makes us mature adults.

If LSU was 6-4 or 5-5 at this point, I'm sure I would be very unhappy and I'd probably be very vocal about it. But not to the point of whining like a little girl.

I'm sick, sick, sick of hearing how "lucky" Miles is. A person cannot GET that lucky. Give the guy props; he is, truly, one of the top coaches in college football today. All of the top coaches have quirks and weaknesses, as does Miles.

But...we're 9-1 with a bad offense. The man is doing a GREAT job of coaching to have us where we are with what we actually have.

But then what is mature about slamming the original poster who is making a very valid point about why this offense and most notably our QB play (I would throw in the O-line as well) cannot succeed against the likes of a McNeese State or ULM, who are obviously inferior to us at every position on the field. There are several people on here who just jump right to the "why are you complaining, we won" crutch.

I'll give you a for instance. If LSU had not pitched a shutout and gave up 7 points (especially with our backups being in there the last quarter of play), and someone started a thread complaining that we should not have given up any points, then slam slam away at the thread starter. That dude is a moron and deserves it.

But this thread has merit and should be up for discussion. The lack of offense is unacceptable. It's dumbfounding as to why we can't put these QBs in positions to succeed. And that points back to coaching and game planning. A 3rd and 2 and you're throwing the ball 30 yards down the field is absurd, given our history at QB this season.

    I agree.

And this is the crux of the matter - despite very limited talent to work with at the QB and receiver slots, our coaching staff has found a way to win 90% of the games (to date) this season.

If the critics want to continue attributing our offensive problems primarily to the coaching staff, then by extension their argument would suggest that Cam Newton's talent is primarily a function of Gene Chizik's genius.

We'll see how Auburn fares next year when Newton bolts for the pros. My guess is that they might look a little bit like a post-Tebow Florida.

Again, you work with what you got. I think Miles and the gang are probably doing the best they can with the current talent on offense.

As an exercise, ask yourself why a team needs an offense when it shuts the other team out and gets 5 takeaways?

Because we won't be able to do that against Arkansas.

the game was never in doubt so why not give our qbs some reps throwing it down the field. I for one am glad we let lee and jj throw it deep.

    I could be older ,

@63 I miss the great days when 9 to 7 was a win 3 to 0 was great . I like defense , I would be happy with 12 wins and 36 total points , . Who cares about 85 points ?? The other team could not play . if we beat Ole Miss , the (Rebels) , 3 to 0. That is great . if we then beat Ark, 3 to 0 great game .
You know I do think Tigers fans hate a good game , you have to stay sober to see the end of the game . That is why most want a 42 to 0 game at half-time , so the "PARTY can start .
Newton is just another pac man jones , in the wings
