Of course we can discuss it. The reason for our lack of offensive production is a topic ripe for discussion. Blaming Crowton is valid and understandable.

My point was that (in response to Dr. Dave) we shouldn't expect to have an offensive juggernaut in any of our upcoming games because we won't. And with 51 points, who cares?

And a very valid point indeed.
I care because it will surely have an impact on the remaining 3 games. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be very happy with a 51-0 blowout last night. We've been living on the edge with this offense all season. The talk all season should have been how great our defense is and what an outstanding job the D staff has done. Instead it's all been about how bad the O has been. I hope they at least get it together enough to award our D with a couple more wins. What I really want is for something to be done in the off season to correct the problem. Plenty of discussion to come on what we arm chair QB's think that should be.

Dave, you can "intelligently discuss" anything that you wish here. Please understand that people can get right in your face for it, too.

A thread titled "2ND HALF OFFENSIVE EFFORT AGAINST ALABAMA WAS A FLUKE " is a provocative heading that is screaming for a retort. It ain't exactly an intelligent discussion starter. It's how you start a pissing match.

ehusson80 is right. It ain't what you say, it's how you say it.

Oregon is near the bottom in TOP. I doubt their fans are bitching about that.

Your efforts to reframe context here are transparent and weak.

The original post was not – as you say - merely a single, critical comment in an otherwise balanced confirmation of a "big win.” Instead it was myopic, half-time rant against a team that was dominating at half-time and went on to win 51-0.

There’s a huge difference between balanced objectivity and constant nitpicking.

Oh, and just for the record, being constantly bitchy and calling Miles a "f**king retard" does not make you intellectually superior.

This is a quality post. Damn strong post, actually.

There are plenty on here that don't want to discuss anything negative related to LSU football or LSU athletics in general.

What transpired last night with the offensive line and the passing game was unacceptable. Imagine the defense taking the night off and the game coming down to the last quarter like the LaTech game last season. Then maybe we would be hearing some ranting from a bunch of otherwise content people.

I'd have to go back and look but I think you can credit the LSU offense with only generating 7 points on their own last night. And that came midway through the 4th quarter.

Likewise, there are plenty on here that don't want to discuss anything positive related to LSU football or LSU athletics in general.

A little balance in your assessment is always helpful...but equating those fans who celebrated a 51-0 win to a bunch of "clapping monkeys" does not make someone intellectually superior, nor does it comes close to being a quality, damn strong post...at least not in my opinion.

Again, I meant last night. We score 51 so who cares how we got them.

We are going to struggle on offense the next 3 games. Last night's 51 points will not carry over. I realize that. That D will be there for the remaining 3 games though so maybe our opponents should worry about their offense.

Not true. See Red's post above. We don't want to discuss them during a 51-0 blowout.

I find it totally acceptable. We didn't need much offense with constant field position well into our own territory.

And all of the points went to our side of the scoreboard. When you go back and check, please note that there are no asterisks next to any of them.

I wonder if ULM feels any better because they "held" the offense to 7 points.
