    I know I'm not the greatest or even claim to be good at making play calls but is it just me or does this seem to be mildly retarded?

    2nd down 9 --> throw

    2nd down 11 ---> throw

    2nd down 8 ---> throw

    etc. etc.

    No, statistically we were averaging about 4 yards per run, so you can assume we would then be put in 3rd and long situations for each of those.

    Or maybe if we had better qb play we would've won the game and Crowton's playcalling would make him look like last year.
    Coaches and coordinators can only do so much.

    Then statistically 3 x 4 = 12 = 1st down a lot?

    We only averaged 4 yards a run because we mixed in passing. The stats don't stay the same when you change the variabels...

    This is true. But based on our passing and having a 2nd and 9 I would rather a 3rd and 6 (3 yard run) than a 3rd and 9.
