Virtually all of these can be said of all the top schools, though. I get choosing UGA over Memphis, but not UGA over other top tier programs. And it’s happening in droves for no reason.
There was no reason UGA should have not killed it this season too. In general, I was surprised about how Fromm regressed last season to now. Started off just as hot as TrevLaw but something happened along the way. In truth UGA has been a consistent pass producing team. Our recent success is likely being framed as a flash in the pan by competing recruiters. Joe Brady leaving with no named heir only cements those perceptions.
Injuries crippled UGA in the passing game... Cager’s was the grand finale for them in injuries as he was the threat. Pickens was the #2 as a true frosh, he will be the future for Uga.
Even before that and after he struggled to make accurate throws and reads. I'm not talking stats BTW. As I watched throughout season there was a notable/visible decline in his play.
