hitting a rocket on a line directly at the SS head is pretty good timing. doing it multiple times per game is consistency. He's changed his stance multiple times. Opens it up and he's lining it at 3B instead. Closes it more and he can't get around on heat like he'd want. Last year or two he re-added his high leg kick to his swing. Noticeable more power, but little effect on the trajectory. we started playing HR derby in yard with weighted trainers. Trying to get him to produce more lift. not much because I don't think he has the pop to go yard in a HS field. but if he can get enough height to clear the infield more often, his average would shoot up.
not yet as we started this after the quarantine bullshit. but anything fucked up from this point forward. yep that's gonna be on me,
These days it's all about launch angles. Alex Bergman is no Marh McGwire but look at how many of his leave the yard.
So Zach Mathis and Saul Garza sign UFA to go pro. Garza, I get as he was never gonna win the starting job back, but hack had the hot corner locked up with a heavy bat that could have used another season to run up his stock. I don't get it. Was it grades...or the heat? He'll be making less than minimum wage, so I guess the heat
hes 22 and needs to get on with it. this pandemic fucked these kids. Saul doesnt have the tools to catch at the upper level and doesnt have the power to play a corner bag. He will likely figure that out in a year or so. this team is no longer loaded. middle of pack. nic storz is on the football team at TE. What could possibly go wrong when you couldnt stay healthy in baseball.
