Since 2007, the LSU-Florida series is 7-6. The Alabama-Tennessee series is 13-0. Now imagine a world where Tennessee was able to pull their weight and win 5 or 6 games over that 13 year time span. Would Alabama have won the West as many times as they have? Of course not. LSU has not gotten any help from the other teams Alabama plays every year, most notably Tennessee.
