I'm guessing a platoon situation. I don't think Bianco is gonna beat out Hughes at 3b. You lose too much defensively for now. That's why cpm is talking about hiding him at first on occasion starting out. Probably play some catcher even though that's his dad's position and not his. 5 catchers and we need a 6th already. Nick storz doesn't wanna sit again. Not sure with Labas. Hilliard is gonna be ok im hearing.
News: #LSU announces AJ Labas will miss the 2019 season after undergoing shoulder surgery Infielder Chris Reid is re-joining the team to take his roster spot. Good for Reid. He's earned it. I just saw Labas in a sling before I read this. Hilliard is back throwing a live scrimmage.
I always liked Reid. He has a sure glove on the hot corner with a steady throw to 1st and a pretty decent bat. He always looks unassuming at the plate. Under the circumstances, his leadership will be welcomed back in the P&G
Kirsch is off the team to make room for Reid. He looked like smith's backup. He was a Tulane transfer.
Walking back into a top-ranked team two weeks before opening day can present its own special set of challenges when you haven’t so much as taken batting practice in six months. One of them, as Chris Reid found out, is an outdated key card combined with a locked door. “I was probably like the third or fourth one here this morning,” Reid laughs, “and I got locked out because my card doesn’t work. Had to text Nate to come open up the door. That was the first hurdle I had to get through, the actual door.” “It broke my heart to a degree because I’d given everything I had to the university for three years,” Reid said. “To get that call, it hurt a lot, but Coach Mainieri was heartfelt when we met on Wednesday. He apologized and admitted he made a mistake. That helped me open up to the forgiveness part of it. http://www.tigerrag.com/why-did-chris-reid-come-back-to-lsu-let-him-explain/
