Had a team meeting in right field following the game called by Moffitt. The guy who was considered a roster filler has pitched his ass off and is the only pulse in the dugout. But this is bad news imo. No Bregman personalities to lead the position players from this group. Shouldn't be just one anyhow. This bunch of introverts need to sack up. Take ownership of this mess. My apologies for buying in and hyping this group. They are not good and lack most of the intangibles you need to succeed. Hess pitching one good game should not be the highlight of the season. Jake mangum must be 30 hits ahead of Duplantis by now. A cowbell is going to take furniss' batting title. Shameful all around. They can turn this shit around but it better start this weekend. Aint no 23 in a row miracle in their pockets.
Dunn and Paul are untouchable. You can make a good case to fire most baseball coaches and id hardly argue. Id like to see some new blood just bc ive had dunn and cpm fatigue for awhile now. Losing with this talent is a bad look however.
That is true. It is nearing the Miles situation. My only reservation is college baseball is much more competitive these days. My question would be, who do we get? Proven coach with titles? Or a new up-and-comer? I think most of us now don't even care about the ranking. We want CWS wins. Period. Stole this from another thread: Average final RPI since 2008: (what was funny is that in the same thread, they ran the numbers from 2012 and 2013, It got better for CPM) 1.
