Actually what I said was I wish I had the confidence to call a sweep which, I did not. I thought game 1 was a wild toss and Hess had 2 pretty good starts, well, better starts. If continues to improve, we all gotta eat crow, but he has to improve just to be solid. He still gets behind the count and struggles to put hitters away. Though 6 walks is an improvement, its still 6 walks and that won't fly in a typical pitchers dual. I was surprised Kentucky pulled their starter when they did. We really got lucky in game 1, but a solid weekend just the same. Walker was dealing today and I thought he was gonna pitch his way out of that jam, but Paul hooked him. I would have liked to see him finish the inning.
Everyone breathing easier, now about the prospects of the baseball team? UGA will be tough this weekend.
This weekend will say a lot. 1st RPI's are out and we fall in at 26. We have back to back weekend series on the road and we really need to take one of them to stay course. Dawgs are our best chance cause state is all that this year. I'd be happy with a series split going into Sunday, but our pen is pretty beat up right now. We need somebody to get healthy by the weekend cause Henry is missing in the zone. Another pitching performance like this weekend and we might pull one off.
Garza to get the start behind the dish tomorrow. May not catch the whole game, but it will be interesting to see what he can do
