Do you resist the boiled egg and gizzards as well?

No dam eggs in mine. It’s a Cajun dish, not Chinese. This is where we part ways.

I don’t have any Chinese relatives.

The boiled egg was on the Kinder side. Pretty common in that area from what I have seen.

What makes a Gumbo are all the things in it. It’s a cheap dish at its roots. Eggs fill the belly and feed a lot of people when funds are tight. I am talking about a hard boiled egg btw.

I'll put gizzards in my fro yo. One of the things I miss the most is hitting a gas station and rounding up a bucket of fried livers and gizzards, but I have never even heard of them in a gumbo. Can't say I wouldn't be bothered a bit.

Boiled egg tho, you mighta just pissed off the baseball gods. Were, gonna have to go to Ben Macdonald for a final score.
I gotta believe some testies will drop in the lineup and fielding will certainly improve come SEC. But pitching? That's gonna be a no shit passage of a well managed medical marijuana program with a certain greyed haired fella in traction and a field of chicken bones to toss around if they can even be competitive for Tulane. I'd say that I would gladly forfeit my wreckless opinion of the great grey gump if he got that bunch to throwing team ave. of 3.0 come SEC. They were 5.0 era before Texas tee'd off and sent em home a team era of 5.6. I think we all have our doubts, but miracles do happen.

I really wanna look back and say that the Texas beating is just what this crew needed to turn dysfunction into playing competative. If there is one thing LSU baseball is not known for, is embarrassing themselves after all the preseason hype. Paul has dropped a few spots before, laid a few eggs and come roaring back in time for Hoover. Dunn tho...

I had never heard of putting potato salad in gumbo before somebody mention it on TF a while back.

All you had to say was you liked boiled eggs in your gumbo and walk away. But no, you gotta upchuck and here we go telling the same jared coonass stories, again. Sounds like tater salad might just be your thing too?

Tell you what tho, I can fuck up some pickled eggs. Ones in the jar even. So high five, mf'er

Ours was always on the side of the bowl. Like, half in half out. I've seen people plop it down in the middle and mix it in. I never did it like that. More like take a scope of it and the get a little gumbo on it.
