So what happened at the end? I had to leave about a minute into OT and saw we lost by 1 how did that go down?
Pressured the inbound and Mays passed to Williams who dunked for 1 pts lead. auburn takes it the length of the court to score with .1 left on clock
I thought we should have taken a timeout in the last 2 min of regulation when they kept hitting 3s. Certainly, we should have with the last possession in regulation when it was 74-74 with :12 or even at the :08 mark. Instead, we kind of held the ball and Skyler took a long 3. I didn’t like our chances in OT, was real surprised we took the lead with:09. We actually played better in OT than I expected with Days out and fatigue setting in. But, we lost that game in the last min of regulation, which is really unfortunate cuz we outplayed them.
Totally agree, still scratching my head over the Vandy loss. Probably cost us first place, the SEC conference title without help. You expect these types of games vs Auburn and Kentucky as today. We beat Kentucky last year at Rupp Arena on the same type of play and we lost today.
I missed the whole game. When I found out it had started earlier than I thought I couldn't find the remote. So I decided to run some errands and listen on the radio. After about 3 minutes the broadcast went dead and they played music for a while before switching to the national ESPN programming.
To be fair, I’m not sure we had timeouts to take, but am still scratching my head on that one. I like this teams grit, I’ll tell you that.
Similar ending to the Florida game except their basket at the end counted leaving 0.1 seconds on the clock securing their 1 point win. We were down by like 7 in OT they kept drilling 3s but they fouled foolishly and we actually had a 1 point lead until the very end.
