Oh, how expectations have fallen. The NIT was OK for year one but after last season I expect to be at the big dance every year even in down years when we have to get there from the bubble.

ouch an NIT would be a catastrophe!

side note: watford doesnt seem as athletic as i would hope for a 5 star. he pales in athleticism to his teammates williams, manning and taylor. he also doesnt have a really busy motor. doesnt seem active. looks tired late. hoping he revs it up a bit

Not making the NIT would be a catastrophe. Not making the NCAAT would be a huge disappointment, but I don’t think fireable.

WW looks like Alleva and the NCAA really shook him. I imagine Woodward was pretty blunt as well when he came in.

Unfortunately, this team looks like it has plenty of losses ahead of it unless WW can work his magic again. Our team has no flow. Hopefully it was just rust against ETSU; before the break it looked like we had upward trajectory. Maybe we can get it back in LA vs USC.

Disappointing game to be sure but we knew 7 footers were going to be a problem.
Resorting to flinging 3s aint the answer.
Was glad to see them regroup toward the end.
Will still has work to do with these kids.

We aren't making the ncaat. We got no bigs and got no shooters or depth. No kbw dawgs to impose their will. Rebuilding year. Hopefully we develop progressively throughout the season and get some difference makers next year.

    your pessimism is unfounded.

even though watford hasnt been awesome, he is a 5 star and will improve. williams is a 5 star athlete and will be fine. they cant shoot threes but they make 2s at a very nigh percentage. it just seems less impressive because they are not popping 3's.

they will make the tournament. they are just playing lazy at the moment. these early season opponents have been sneaky good mid-majors

You still can't lose to the East Tennessees of the world. Much uglier than last year's losses to Houston and Florida State.

nah im just fine in a rebuilding season. i think they will improve a lot because they are middle of the pack at best right now. and if they dont win the 2 games next week, they are sorta screwed b/c the conference is down. They need some ooc wins. Tonight at staples would be a good start.

Damn pels lose to gs? Jesus. May as well add another lottery pick and sit out zion.
