What they need to do is have college stock car racing. Both men and women could race in the same event, like Danica Patrick did in NASCAR. Other than drivers the crews and mechanics could be both men and women. Racing costs a lot of money. Spending that kind of money should satisfy Title IX and that would leave the schools free to add a few more minor men's sports. Racing could even end up being revenues producing, at least in the south. "Them Oregon Duck Nike Fords was runnin' dagum fast all day long but but et the end of the day our LSU Tiger's Boudreaux's Butt Paste Tony Chacherie's Creole Seasoning Chevrolet had all the power we need to make that there last lap pass."
Having a final four level team, makes it a lot more fun and interesting. Women's basketball has much higher TV ratings compared to volleyball, and college baseball actually,.. and I like it,.. I'm right, you're wrong, end of story
but I decreed that stock car racing wasn't a sport,.... besides we already have cheerleaders in short skirts
Any kind of racing is a sport. Horses, people, boats, motorcycles you name it. Racing is the purest form of sport. Whoever crosses the Don line first is the winner.
Welcome to stock car racing. Oregon should do well with Phil Knight's backing. Probably build a state of the art Daytona-Talledega style superspeedway. California is in your back yard and should be a fertile recruiting ground for wannabe drivers.
