6-4 @ 175 = scrawny. If he has those tendencies now, Moffit will only make him a better man. I don't care much for the HS kids he is hittin, it's the SEC bodies I wanna see him punish. So eat, kid.
@uscvball How tall was Taylor Mays? I know that statement isn't true...but, he's one of a handful of guys that came to mind when it was read...
@LSUDad The biggest I've ever seen was a kid that Pappy Bowden recruited...went on to play in the NFL for a bit I believe...I saw him standing next to Surrency and he had at least an inch on Corey...Patrick (maybe first name, maybe last, can't recall exactly.)
Tigers make move in 247Sports Team Rankings Sonny Shipp - 3 hours ago LSU added its sixth commitment to the 2016 class on Tuesday from outside linebacker Clifford Chattman and that pushed the Tigers up in the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings. LSU is now up to No. 6 in the team rankings after adding the 6-foot-5, 185-pound Chattman. He is ranked the No. 16 safety and No. 22 prospect overall in Louisiana according to the 247Sports Composite.
Terry, met this kid and Dad before a game this year: http://abc13.com/sports/isaiah-edwards-tough-to-stop-in-any-sport/511806/
T Mays was indeed 6'3". He was a physical specimen too, not just the height. He lacked vision and instinct though. Really great kid. There was a D-Back in the early 70's who played for Morgan St., Tim Baylor. He was 6'6". Seattle has as big a backfield as anyone I would think. Brandon at 6'4" and both Sherman and Chancellor at 6'3".
LSU gets ’16 commitment from 4-star safety Christopher Smith February 11, 2015 @ 3:12pm LSU already is scoping potential replacements for Jalen Mills and Jamal Adams at safety. The Tigers got a commitment from 6-foot-4 safety Clifford Chattman on Wednesday. Chattman, a four-star member of the 2016 class out of McDonogh 35 in New Orleans, gives LSU a giant defensive back in line with the trend started by the Seattle Seahawks. The Tigers likely will look for Chattman to add to his 175-pound frame, though, before he arrives in Baton Rouge. Frank Wilson has served as the primary recruiter for Chattman, the sixth LSU commitment of the 2016 class. So far LSU has instituted an imaginary 6-foot-4 height limit on the class. QB Feleipe Franks (6-foot-5), WR Stephen Sullivan (6-foot-6), WR Dee Anderson (6-foot-4), TE Jamal Pettigrew (6-foot-6) and G Donavaughn Campbell (6-foot-5) all are at least that tall.
