It actually has been very good. CLM has pulled in a steady stream of 4-stars, with a couple of 5's mixed in. The problems start once they get here.

But couldn't that be a recruiting problem? You aren't recruiting the right guys for your system.

On Hanigriff and Ott this morning they said Scott made a score of 25 on the ACT. Pretty smart but not quite Harvard level but at least he should be able to learn the playbook. A caller who said he coached against Scott said he has a clock in his head and knows how long to hold the ball and when he has to run or get rid of it.
Maybe he will turn out to be another Dak Prescott type. Any QB who signs with LSU this year will be warming a spot on the bench for the next 2 years until Harris is gone.

I think you can make that argument, but to some extent, it also short circuits the arguments many of the negas want to make that CLM can't coach QB's. If you believe all of our QB's have been "wrong", do you then believe everything will be OK with the "right" QB? And does that mean Miles can effectively coach the "right" QB?

It's happened before, but only once. So there isn't enough data to support that theory, and even then it still didn't get LSU anywhere because the defense wasn't what it was in those championship seasons.

His QB recruiting has been horrible. His QB development has been horrible. His incorporating the QB into his offense has been horrible. His adapting the offense to his QB's skill set has been horrible. My fingers are getting tired, I'll stop here.

Don't beat around the bush; say what you think.

You were typing? I thought you just copy pasted last weeks post. ;)

With respect to your first sentence the currency of recruiting conversations is 'Stars', ranking, and who else offered the guys you got. So in recruiting QBs, Miles has done well.

But then there is the rest of the story . . . . . which makes it even more frustrating. And now we've reached the point where Miles future is virtually tied to Harris's QB rating. However it plays out won't be dull - but then with Miles it never is.

It's waaaaay past the point of think. There are more unicorns on the planet than there are people that think Miles knows shit about a QB.
