Supposedly he has an offer from Harvard but the Ivy League doesn't give athletic scholarships. His folks would have to pay. Harvard is very expensive. Are his parents well off?
No idea, but pretty much anyone at ivy league schools can get the money they need to go. If you get in, I think most ivy leagues will assess your finances and get you the tuition assistance you need.
I won't say they're well off, but if he wanted to go to Harvard they could pay for it. His father is an attorney in the area and he does well in his practice.
