Which one is it, Miles or Cam? Or are they both equally incompetent? How is a winner like this kid, 10 miles from LSU not at least brought to campus unofficially a couple times as a show of local support and to keep him on the back burner? Was he invited to any LSU camps? How does a program on the level of LSU find itself in a position where they have to beg a 3 star QB that lives 10 Miles from LSU's campus to be the only QB Commit? There is not a single thing that you can point to when it comes to QBs where Miles\Cam show the least bit of competence. It's been a disaster on the scale of Hurricane Katrina from start to finish. How can a guy like Miles that does so many things so great fail so miserably at something so important to his success in his chosen profession? It's a mystery more baffling and confusing than time travel. I honestly believe we will be able to teleport from place to place Star Trek style long before Miles figures out the QB position.
How does LSU beat them now, oh wait, they don't! LSU needs a smart QB that is a winner. Honestly, when is the last time they had that? LSU has a great OL, great RBs, great WRs, really good TEs and quality FBs. Do they really need a super star QB? When is the last time Bama had a great QB? How many championships do they have in the last 10 years? Do you really think Scott's ceiling is any lower than the QB play we've seen at LSU the last 10 years?
That's my point, Scott is Brandon Harris, and Jordan Jefferson, and Anthony Jennings, and McMillan. He's a retread. May do well in an offense suited for his skills, not in this one. Was Scott a better HS QB than Russell Shepard? Seem very similar to me in all aspects. We know what happened there.
Scott much more accurate and much fewer interceptions than Harris comparing their senior stats. I'm not opposed to a QB that can run, I am opposed however to a QB that is inaccurate and not smart. Would I prefer Dan Marino? Hell yes? What are the chances he isn't better that Jennings and Harris? Slim. What better QB is available to LSU at this point? Do I hear crickets?
i dont think you can just say he will be better than Harris or Jennings. There is absolutely no way of knowing that.
Nah...but he is a Southern University legend so despite the 1-AA affiliation you guys don't always respect, Scott, Jr does come from a good gene pool, lol.
We are begging and I am not any where near confident he is the answer. One thing is for sure is the Scott family will have a pretty good idea that LSU isn't a great fit and more of a gamble for his skillset. He could be great in a number of programs. What shocks me is the complete 180 in Cam's rules for targeting QBs that he was so gung ho about. The usual pattern would to promise another QB that he is our only target, lose that recruit to another team that has other QB commits, not taking no for answer and letting others slip by with offers still in our pocket. I would rather strike out with multiple offers extended. Scott family has been in fairly consistent contact with Cam over the last 2 years. They are as surprised as me that an offer came.
